Benigno Bam Aquino is the nephew of the late Ninoy Aquino and cousin of the incumbent President Noynoy Aquino. His real name is Paulo Benigno Aquino IV, he is the son of Paul Aquino, the youngest brother of Ninoy Aquino.
Bam graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Management Engineering at the Ateneo De Manila University in 1999, and Executive Education Program of Law at the Kennedy School of Government in Harvard University in 2008.
The 35-year-old Bam Aquino has accomplished a lot; he is a former TV host, former Chairperson of the National Youth Commission of the Philippines, and the current President of Micro Ventures, Inc. which runs the multi-awarded social enterprise, The Hapinoy Program (www.hapinoy.com).
Bam Aquino is part of the Liberal Party and a candidate of Team PNoy. He was endorsed by no less than the President of the Philippines, Pres. Aquino. The outgoing senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and actor Dingdong Dantes are two of his avid supporters and endorsers.
