Catholic Christian group El Shaddai, one of the most prominent religious group in the Philippines have already chosen their 2013 senatorial bets. All three senatoriables they endorsed were part of the Team PNoy administration party.
The Catholic group which claimed that hey have a total of more than six million followers stated that their group will back the candidacy of Former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar who disclosed that Bro. Mike Velarde endorsed her, reelectionist Senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III.
Rep. Villar welcomed and thanked the announcement of supports from El Shaddai, she responded by stating that “If the Catholic can deliver votes, since we are a predominantly Catholic country, so perhaps it’s big enough,” Villar told reporters.
The group lead by Brother Mike Velarde are known to deliver bloc voting that can boost candidates bid for any national post. El Shaddai was also a member of the group which called themselves as the “White Vote Movement,” which will endorse pro-life senatorial candidates.
According to our sources who are members of the White Vote Movement, their group will also endorse candidates coming from the opposition party, the United Nationalist Alliance.
