The three Tarlac policeman who was caught on video beating a civilian in Paniqui, Tarlac were suspended according to PNP Spokesperson Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. who confirmed the video.
The 39-second video which became viral for the past few days caused an online outraged among netizens. The three policemen who kicked and punched the victim insisted that they used maximum tolerance during the arrest contrary to what have been recorded on video.
The three Paniqui, Tarlac policemen were identified as PO2 Richelle Antonio, PO2 Gerardo Bermudez, and PO2 Fernando Acosta, they have been placed under restrictive custody while an investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile Paniqui Police chief Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpus stated that the policemen were supposed to serve an arrest warrant to the victim who was identified as Jimmy Gregorio, for physical injuries.
