Malacañang Speaks on Message of Pres. Bongbong Marcos To Law Enforcers on Holy Week 2025
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President called on the law enforcers to ensure public safety during the Holy Week 2025.
The Holy Week 2025 is fast approaching and many people are surely getting ready for it. The Philippines being a Christian country is one of the nations with a huge observance of this religious event that goes more than a week long.

This 2025, the Holy Week falls from April 13, 2025 (Palm Sunday) until April 20, 2025 (Easter Sunday). Two (2) the holidays declared by Pres. Bongbong Marcos this April 2025 are due to the Holy Week celebration in the country.
Usually, countless Filipinos return to their home provinces for the Holy Week to spend the religious event with their families. The Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday are usually holidays in the country.

Recently, Malacañang spoke on the message of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to the law enforcers ahead of the Holy Week 2025. Based on a report on GMA News, the Chief Executive called on the law enforcers not to sleep at work.

Palace press officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said that there are inevitable situations, thus, the President wants the law enforcers to stay awake and ensure public safety.
“Hindi dapat matulog, iyan po ang direktiba ng Pangulo, hindi dapat matulog kahit Holy Week, kahit bakasyon ang karamihan; hindi dapat nagbabakasyon ang gobyerno,” the Malacañang official said.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also wants the law enforcers to continue monitoring and extending help to the Filipinos. Based on the report, the operations of the Metro Rail Transit 3, both lines of the Light Rail Transit, and Philippine National Railways will be suspended on Maundy Thursday until Easter Sunday.
Recently, Marcos Jr. also attended the oath-taking ceremony of the promoted PNP officials. He called on the new generals to exhibit integrity and determination in their work and ensure that the men and women under them perform their duties well.
