The Philippine Azkals defeated the Cambodia Khmer Warriors during their game held on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium with the final score at 8-nil.
The Philippines dominated the match with a total of 24 attempts against only 3 by the Cambodians. They have also unleashed a total of 15 shots on target against only 1 from Cambodia.

The Azkals is now leading the Group E of the AFC Challenge Cup after their celebrated victory, their highest so-far in any international competition scoring an 8-nil scorecard.
Phil Younghusband just needed a total of 9 minutes to score an elusive hat trick or three goals. He also added with another goal to complete a 4-goals performance. He scored at 25th, 30th, 34th and 84th minutes.
Fil-Spanish striker Javier Patino scored two goals for his first appearance with the Philippine Azkals, he scored at around 44th minutes and followed it up with another goal at 57th minutes.
Stephan Schrock was the main stars of the match as he was able to display his awesomeness especially his ball handling skills and most of the plays was started by the Fil-German. Schrock scored his lone goal in the game at around 46th minutes.
Two disturbances occurred during the game, first the stadium’s brown out and the second was the unexpected heavy pouring of rains. The game was resumed after more than 30 minutes.
The second half were still dominated by the Azkals, Carli de Murga added another goal at around 88th minute to complete the scorecards at 8-nil. The Azkals will now have the advantage against their next opponent, Turkmenistan as the Azkals only needed a draw to top the Group E.
The Azkals second game will be held this coming Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
