The world’s leading search engine, Google have already announced that one of their company, YouTube have already reached another milestone, reaching One (1) Billion unique monthly users.
The estimates made by Wolfram Alpha which puts the Earth’s population of 6.79 billion means that the YouTube unique monthly users comprised 14.7% of the world’s population who watch YouTube in a monthly basis.
According to Google, their video-sharing site company, YouTube reaches almost one out of every two people on the internet. The monthly viewership could make YouTube as the world’s largest county only behind China and India.
The video-sharing site, YouTube was bought by Google way back the year 2006 in a whopping $1.65 billion. The acquisition has proven to be one of the most strategic acquisition of Google.
YouTube have also celebrated it’s first billion-view video featuring PSY’s Gangnam Style dominating the world’s viewership while Justin Bieber is also on track to set the record.
