The Department of Social Welfared and Development confirmed through an exclusive interview by Umagang Kay Ganda that DSWD will not be releasing cash for entire Philippine Elections period.
According to Sec. Dinky Soliman, they will follow the rules on election ban for government expenditures. The Secretary also confirmed that in order to abide with the 45-day election ban, they have already released the cash grants to the beneficiaries in advance of the 4P’s initiative by the government.
The doleouts given to the families of those who are qualified were advised to check with their respective Local Government Units for clarification. The DSWD also urged the public to report politicians who threatens to delist them from the government’s conditional cash transfer.
