The Filipino-American hopeful for the American Idol 2013 made her first-ever performance for the Top 20 as she made her own rendition of the song titled “Stand For Love.” The song was popularized by the popular US girl band Destiny’s Child.
The judges were not quite impressed by her performance especially Nicki Minaj who told Adriana to come back next year.
Here’s the judges verdict of Adriana’s performance:
Keith says he likes her voice but isn’t sure it was the right song. He hopes he’s wrong about her song choice potentially costing her.
- Nicki Minaj: You look pretty in your little ballgown. Work a little bit and come back next year. It was pageanty.
- Keith Urban: Likes Adriana’s voice but isn’t sure it was the right song. Hope’s it’s just a wrong choice of song.
- Mariah Carey: Doesn’t want to say that the song was too big for Adriana, but that’s ultimately what she ends up saying.
- Randy Jackson: It just wasn’t good enough
