Tony Award-winning performer Lea Salonga confirmed through his official Twitter account that she will be joining the Philippine edition of the unique reality singing contest, “The Voice of the Philippines.”
Lea Salonga will join with singer-actress Sarah Geronimo and former Rivermaya and Bamboo frontman Francisco “Bamboo” Mañalac who have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming show.
The US counterparts of “The Voice” features four judges namely Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine for the past three seasons.
According to “The Voice Philippines,” the local edition will feature four teams and in order to form their teams, the coaches will hold “The Blind Auditions,” wherein the judges determine the voice of the contestant and push their button to signal their intention to recruit.
