One of the high-profile rookie in the PBA was the main caused of an incident that put a certain PBA referee identified as Eduard Aquino confined to a hospital in Metro Manila.
The incident happened during the PBA Commissioner’s Cup game between the Alaska Aces defeating the Barako Bull with the final score at 85-81, last Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Â The injury to Aquino occured at around 2:38 mark in the final quarter.
The PBA veteran referee Eduard Aquino bumped into the endline railing by a rushing Calvin Abueva while the rookie was going for the loose ball. The only problem with the rookie as shown on the video below was his unprofessional and unapologetic gesture towards the official.
