Negros-based squad Ceres FC continued their cinderella run to the Finals of the Philippine Football Federation-SMART National Club Championship after they defeated Kaya FC in the semi-finals of the tournament with the final score at 3-1.
Ceres FC was able to defeat at least three powerhouse teams of the United Football League when they first beat Stallion Penson Gilligan, Global FC and Kaya FC on their way to the finals.

Ceres FC no. 17 guy Jayson Panhay scored the first goal for Ceres at around 24th minute followed by Byeong Jun Yoon at 41st and Choi at around 83rd minutes of the game while Kaya’s veteran Greatwich made the lone goal for Kaya at around 51st minutes.
Ceres will now advance to the Finals of the PFF Smart National Club Championship. The winner of the tournament will bring home a trophy and a P100,000 cash rewards.
