Bacolod-based football club, Ceres FC showed their dominance at the PFF Smart National Club Championship when they defeated multi-titled Global FC with the final score at 1-0.
Global fielded some of the most popular player in the country who represented the Philippines as an Azkals mainstay. Some Azkals who are playing for Global were Carli de Murga, Patrick Reichelt, Marwin Angeles, Jeffrey Christiaens, Gerry Barbaso, Paulo Pascual and Marvin Angeles.
The Ceres FC on the other hand were composed of some local born players with South Korean reinforcement.
The lone goal of the game came from Leeds-born striker Peter Long at around 12th minutes of the match. The Ceres FC will then face the winner of the match between Kaya FC and Loyola FC.
