Black Nazarene Fest Preparations Underway

The Feast of the Black Nazarene is one of the well-attended fiesta celebrations in the Philippines due to the millions of devotees flocking to the most popular church in Manila, the Quiapo Church.

The organizers of this year’s Feast of the Black Nazarene were already preparing for the highly-anticipated celebrations. They will be using forklift tires for the carriage that will transport the image during its procession.

Last year’s feast was considered as the longest procession in history of the Black Nazarene as it took 22 hours before the image arrived back from the Quirino Grandstand to its home at the Minor Basilica in Quiapo.

The main reason of the delay was caused by the bursting of one of it’s tires, so in this year’s celebration they will using forklift tires.
