It’s official, Facebook have finally reached the One Billion active users according to an announcement made by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
The 28-year-old world’s second youngest billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg was quoted as saying that “This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month. If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.” Mark said.
Mark also wrote in an official blog post that “Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life. I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too,” Mark wrote.
Last July 2012, Facebook had already managed a total of 955 Million active users, and after those achievement they never stopped on innovating and tried to achieve their goal of getting a total of 45 million in less than 3 months.
The One Billion milestone for the world’s largest social network was an enormous numbers despite the competition from other social networking company especially against Google Plus.
The company took several years to reached the magical 100 million mark way back the year 2008, but Mark Zuckerberg’s innovative network could not be stopped and right now they are in their pinnacle of success by reaching a Billion mark.
