Android Marketplace Google Play Reached 25 Billion Times Download

The Android Marketplace Google Play have achieved an achievement of a total  of more than 25 billion times apps download according to an announcement made by Google.

The achievement is now comparable to what the Apple’s App Store have accomplished last March 2012, where they also reached the 25 billion marked.

Google have further announced that in order to celebrate the enormous achievement of catching up with their biggest competitors, Apple, they will be offering a collection of apps from popular developers such as Gameloft, Electornic Arts, Rovio, Runtastic, Full Fat and other developers offering a download of only $0.25.

Android users can now choose from a collection of 25 for discounts on movies, books, music albums and magazines, starting on Wednesday.

Although the Apple iOS’ marketplace still dominated the download marketplace in terms of Apps but Google Play is on the right track of catching with their competitors.
