The Philippines will battle it out against the Qataris today for the last spot at stake in the upcoming FIBA Asia Championship to be held in Lebanon. The Philippines will try to secure an early spot to the competition as they will battle for a third place in the FIBA Asia Cup 2012.
The game will start at around 1:00 PM today at the Ota City, Tokyo, Japan for the coveted-bronze medal in the competition. The Philippines suffered a heartbreaking loss against the undefeated Iranians during their semi-finals match-up yesterday which ended with the final score at 77-60.
The Qatar National basketball team made an impressive comeback in the competition after they defeated the defending champion Lebanon and earned a semi-finals berth but eventually defeated by the Japanese.
Meanwhile on the first two games results today, Lebanon defeated Uzbekistan and take the 7th spot while China edged out Chinese Taipei for a 5th place finished.
