The 64th Primetime Annual Emmy Awards will air live on Velvet this coming September 24, 2012 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The show will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
The live telecast was scheduled at around 7:00 p.m. on Velvet (SkyCable Channel 53) and will also available on SkyCable Platinum, SkyCable Gold, SkyCable Silver and other quality cable operators nationwide.
The Primetime Emmy Awards give distinction in national primetime programming, presenting top honors annually. This year, some of Velvet’s shows have made it to the roster of television’s best and brightest.
The show “Nurse Jackie” was nominated for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series. It has five nominations also including the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Eddie Falco, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Merritt Wever.
Meanwhile “The Good Wife” had a total of seven nominations including Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Julianna Margulies, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Archie Panjabi and Christine Baranski. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series while Michael Hall was nominated as the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series.
Award-winning reality dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance” has 6 nominations. The show is nominated for the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program while choreographers Stacey Tookey, Christopher Scott and Spencer Liff are nominated for Outstanding Choreography.
