Brandon Routh, the Superman Returns actor welcome his new born son with wife Courtney Ford. The celebrity couple was gifted with a healthy baby boy in which they name their son as Leo James Routh.
The boy was weighing at 8 pounds and measuring 20 and a half inches long. The happy parents were overjoyed with the good news for the family. Brandon has been married to Parenthood star Courtney since November 2007.
The actor rose to international fame playing his role as Superman in the latest big screen version of the franchise. The actor announced he is to be a father for the first time earlier this year.
According to the actor he found it hard to keep it a secret, his being a father, and he was relieved when he shared the news with his castmates. Brandon is currently filming the CBS pilot Partners.
Meanwhile the wife of Brandon Routh, Courtney Ford also confessed she also felt guilty about having to lie about her pregnancy, and that she was overjoyed when she finally shared the truth with her co-stars.
Brandon Routh was chosen and hand-picked by director Bryan Singer for his role in Superman Returns. The actor met the actress, Courtney during the year 2003 when the actor was working in a bar.
The Superman star also made a name for himself as he scored big roles in cult favorite Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and also the TV hit Chuck.
The actress Courtney previously starred in a winning role as a serial killer in the show Dexter and was featured recently playing the role of Portia Bellefleur in True Blood.
