A 16-year-old girl named, Darlene Armstrong from Chicago had a severe cerebral palsy condition and she measured 3’10 tall and only 23lbs only. She couldn’t walk or talk, the girl was not being fed properly by her mother Rosetta Haris so she was rescued and rushed to a hospital in Chicago last March.
According to a news report from Chicago Tribune, the girl could have been rescued four months earlier but the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services did not follow the procedures so the rescue was delayed.
The 50-year-old mother of Darlene which was identified as Rosetta Harris pleaded guilty of endangering the life of a child. She had also a previous criminal record and was sentenced to 18 months of probation and ordered to undergo parenting cl(–foul word(s) removed–).
