An uninvited guest adorably interrupted the football game of Liverpool vs Tottenham last Monday, February 6. The game was unexpectedly stopped by a cat who snucked onto the field of about 10 minutes into a game. According to the report from The Post Game, the game would end in a thrilling 0-0 draw, so the feline shenanigans served as the highlight of the night in the UK, and the whiskered trickster was allowed to wander around before sitting down on the field.
The Daily Mail reports the cat strolled toward the sidelines and was nabbed by guards so the game could continue.
In a tribute to the cat, someone started a Twitter page @AnfieldCat page which quickly picked up more than 22,000 followers as of Tuesday morning.
