The official lists of winners of the recently concluded Sinulog 2012 Streetdancing Festival had been released. The Streetdancing is one of the major events of the annual celebrations of Cebu’s Sinulog Festival.
For the past few years the Sinulog Mardigras is one of the highly anticipated activities which was participated by different groups, tribes and even festivals from other provinces graced the celebrations.
Different contingents from different parts of the Visayas region were joining the competition. The streetdancing finale is one of the most stringent competition so far for the past few years according to observers.
Meanwhile here are the list of Streetdancing competition winners for 2012:
Sinulog Based Category
- Champion: Placer Masbate
- First Runner-Up: Sinanduloy Cultural Troupe, Tangub City
- Second Runner-Up: Carcar City
- Third runner-Up: Pakol Festival, Santa Catalina Negros Oriental
- Fourth Runner-Up: Abellana National School
- Best in Costume: Placer Masbate
- Best in Musicality: Placer Masbate
Free Interpretation Category
- Champion: Lingganay Festival, Alangalang Leyte
- First Runner-Up: Himag Ulaw Festival, Placer Masbate
- Second Runner-Up: Karatong Festival, Dulag Leyte
- Third Runner-Up: Lumad Basakanon
- Fourth Runner-Up: Toledo National Vocational High School
- Best in Costume: Lingganay Festival, Alangalang Leyte
