There is no final decision yet if who will be the next opponent of Boxing Champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, this is according to the statement given by Pacquiao’s adviser, Michael Koncz.
While everyone has been waiting to see the pound-for-pound king back in the ring this year, conversations and negotiations are still ongoing to finalize his next bout.
Rumors started to spread early this year that Manny Pacquiao has already chosen his next opponent although there are no confirmation about it coming from his promoter and Manny Pacquiao himself.
Top Rank Chief Executive, Bob Arum was reportedly spotted here in the Philippines to visit the Filipino Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao and lay down the choices of fighters that he would like to face for his first match this 2012.
Included in the list of boxers that Arum has suggested to Pacquiao were Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez, Lamont Peterson and Timothy Bradley Jr..
During an interview with Koncz in Boxing Scene by Ronnie Nathaniels, he stressed out that Manny Pacquiao and their camp are still analyzing the possible opponent and trying not to rush things up.
But after the explosive statement of the undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the micro blogging site Twitter, challenging Pacquiao to fight him this coming May 5 which was answered by Manny’s camp saying that they would prefer to fight Mayweather by last week of May.
On the other hand, Jinkee Pacquiao, Manny’s wife have given a statement that the boxing champ is interested with the idea of fighting Cotto for the second time but it was clarified by Koncz that it was not yet confirmed.
