One of NBA’s legends and one of the world’s most popular athlete Michael Jordan announced his engagement to long-time girfriend, Cuban model Yvette Prieto. The Chicago Bulls’ franchise player had been dating with Prieto for three years.

Michael Jordan divorced his first wife Juanita Jordan during the year 2006. He divorced his wife after 17 years of marriage.  His proposal with the Cuban model will be his second marriage.

Jordan and Juanita have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine. The man who popularized the Nike brand is considered as the world’s most prize basketball player and the most expensive endorser of all time.

The 48-year-old basketball superstars Jordan proposed to the 32-year-old Cuban model Yvette Prieto during Christmas. Michael joined another celebrities who were proposing during the holiday seasons. Matthew McConaughey proposed to Camila Alves while Wyonna Judd and her band mate, Cactus Moser  were also engaged.

Michael Jordan’s engagement with Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto had been confirmed by his publicist Estee Portnoy last Thursday through an interview conducted by WCNC in Charlotte.

The Chicago Bulls superstars spent 19 years with the National Basketball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation. He was also a member of the US National Basketball Team in 1988 winning gold and the most popular US Basketball Team the 1992 Dream Team which dominates the Barcelona Olympics.

Currently Michael Jordan is the majority owner of an NBA team, the Charlotte Bobcats. The date of the wedding is not yet set by both parties.
