Photography is the best part of saving it, and as what it’s always said, ‘photography’s main goal is not to change its subjects, but rather for the subject to change the photographer.’
Ron Soliman is one of the people among throng that was influenced by an art that we so-called ‘photography.’ Many were admired capturing a perfect place, lovely faces, and an exquisite scene that defines happiness, absolute ideas and life’s reality. We all did, but this photographer seems to achieved everything one must and could not ask for more.
Photography has became the p(–foul word(s) removed–)ion of the well-known photojournalist Ron Soliman. Like what hge said, he was taken away with wedding and fashion photography, and documenting the most important moment in a couple’s family history gives him the encouragement to comtinue his p(–foul word(s) removed–)ionate job.
Soliman’s style of photography is greatly unique; doing it in a candid, making his mission to capture all the important moments on a wedding. For more than 12 years of his career as a photojournalist, he won multiple awards in Photojournalism through prestigious organizations.
Recognition and awards such as National Press Photographers (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation, Wedding Photojournalist (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation, The Press Photographers (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation Of Greater Los Angeles, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), Best of Weddings 2008. And recently, he was ranked as Top 16 wedding photojournalist in the world by Wedding Photojournalists (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation (WPJA).
Soliman was also the recent recipient of the People’s Choice Awards of the Best Wedding Photography by Rangefinder Magazine, and was the first Filipino photojournalist who held the top position as a Director of Photography at Gannett, one of the largest newspaper company in the US.
As he mention, while he working as a Director of Photography at The News Journal in Delaware, he held a position as the National Clip Contest Chairperson for the National Press Photographers (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation in the USA, and before he switched his gears to become a full time wedding photojournalist, one of his last (–foul word(s) removed–)ignments included a documentary coverage of the final journey of President Obama and Vice President Biden to the White House.
Soliman is greatly an exceptional. His works have been published in TIMES magazine, Seattle Times, Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Delaware Bride, Guam Bridal Magazine, Signature Lifestyle Magazine, etc. I was also featured by Spain’s Photography Magazine called La Foto.
At this perfect moment, Soliman is a wedding photojournalist and a destination wedding photographer, who travel around the world documenting weddings. His most recent work includes an underwater shoot in the waters of Mexico and a bridal shoot in Venice, Italy.
Photography, is indeed, a truth! It is a simple way of feeling, of touching, and of loving!
