Premiere Night, UAAP Finals Game 2 cancelled due to Typhoon Pedring

Typhoon PedringTwo of the Philippines big events today, a Basketball Finals Game 2 for the UAAP Season 74 and a red carpet premiere were postponed due to the severe weather condition that is being caused by Typhoon “Pedring” that is currently hitting the country.

Supposedly, tonight was the scheduled time for the grand red carpet premiere of the movie under Star Cinema entitled as the “No Other Woman” that was set to be shown nationwide by September 28.

Via Twitter, it was announced to the public through Star Cinema’s advertising & promotions manager Mico del Rosario that the premiere night was cancelled.

The premiere night was supposed to be held at the SM Megamall. “No Other Woman” is starred by three of the country’s biggest names in entertainment industry may it be on TV, commercials and in the big stream. Lead stars were Anne Curtis who played as the other woman in the movie, entering to the marriage of Derek Ramsay, the faithful husband of Cristine Reyes.

To recall, Anne Curtis had just launched her first album called as “AnneBisyosa” just recently.

UAAP Finals Game 2

On the other hand, many were already marking their calendar for the anticipated Game 2 of the UAAP Basketball Finals between FEU Tamaraws against ADMU Blue Eagles for today, it was supposed to be the grand part 2 face off in the court which will either end FEU’s hope to get the championship or would it paved way for the game 3 if FEU can win in the Game 2.

The Game 2 which is supposedly set today was rescheduled on October 1, 2011. And if ever Game 3 is needed, it will be held on Monday, October 3.

Regarding on the tickets, according to abs-cbnnews.com, UAAP Season 74 Official Facebook page had said that the tickets for the supposed scheduled date today will still be honored on Saturday, October 1.

At present, standings on the Best of 3 series, Ateneo is taking the lead.

Typhoon Pedring had been  the reason also for suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and works in the affected areas in the country.
