Dragon warriors continued to wow the crowd in Tampa, Florida as they snatched gold in the ongoing 10th International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships.

As of August 6, the team had earned 4 gold and a silver in various division that they had joined.

Dragon Warriors proved that they all their hardships were worth in making it to the prestigious championship.

They showed the world that Filipinos can do a lot.

The championship ran from August 1-7, 2011, and it was on August 4 when the team had snatched their first gold for the mentioned competition against Hungary, Australia, Italy, and Trinidad and Tobago in the Premier 1000 meters in small boat division. They had defeated their rivals in the race in the two heats.

Second gold was earned in the Premier 200 mixed division.

Third gold was garnered in the Premier- Open 200 meter category for men (small boat) with the official time of 58.069 seconds.

Yesterday, August 6, the Dragon Warriors finished the race in 500 meter mixed (small boat division) with a gold again. The event was divided into 3 heats and the team was competing against Hungary and Trinidad and Tobago.

They had dominated the three heats making them as winners.

The only silver that they had came from the All Comers Men event wherein they ended the race taking the next spot after Russia. However, they said that silver is indeed good enough.

The ongoing World Championship would be having its last paddle today and the PH Dragon Warriors were eyeing to earn another gold.

With the current success of the team in Tampa, Filipinos in the US were as proud as they were there not only to shout and cheer but, they arrived also to give help and brought foods to the team.
