The head coach of the NBA Team Miami Heat, Erik Spoelstra has once again visit the Philippines as he continue to reach out with other people especially to his fellow “kababayan” through the global health and wellness program of the NBA.
Last year, the Filipino-American coach also came here to the country through the same program and he said that his last visit really moved his feeling and so he decided to come back.
In his interview, Spoelstra mentioned that helping his fellow Filipinos is such an inspiration and transformational for him.
Even before he came to the Philippines, the head coach of Miami Heat has always been proud to say in his interviews that he is a half Filipino and was raised by her mother with the teachings and values from the Philippine culture.
He also stressed out that ever since basketball has always been his p(–foul word(s) removed–)ion and he combined it with one of his greatest treasure in life and that is his family.
According to him, being raised in two different cultures made him become a better person and reached whatever he has in his life right now.
Erik Spoelstra said that coming back here in the Philippines is really worth it knowing that he has relatives and fans who are always their to support him and most importantly he can help others by means of his p(–foul word(s) removed–)ion which is basketball through NBA Fit.
Spoelstra made his name in NBA as he was recognized as the first Asian coach who handled an NBA team and brought it to the finals.
