The tragic death of the millionaire pharmaceutical company executive Jonah Shacknai’s six-year-old son and his girlfriend on the same week, was indeed a mystery for the people that surrounds the historical Spreckels Mansion
According to Jonah Shacknai, his son Max Shacknai died of injuries at San Diego hospital on Sunday a week ago after his stair fall in Spreckles mansion. When the paramedics arrived last Monday at Spreckels mansion in Coronado, the boy was already in a fatal condition. He was not breathing at all and even don’t have a pulse. The police called the accident happened to the boy was tragic.
“With great sadness, Dina and I convey the tragic p(–foul word(s) removed–)ing of our beloved son, Max”, a quoted statement from Jonah Shacknai with his ex-wife, Max’s mother Dina Romano. He further said, that “Despite heroic efforts on the part of paramedics and hospital staff, he was unable to recover from the injuries suffered early last week. His loving, kind and vibrant spirit will be forever in our hearts and those whom he touched every day.”
Just a couple of days later after the boy’s tragic fall, his father’s girlfriend who was also the little boy’s baby sitter the day that the fatal accident happened was reported dead on the same house. Rebecca Nalepa, 32 years old was found nude while hanging on the mansion’s balcony with her hands and feet were bound of electric wires. Shacknai’s brother Adam, who was staying at the mansion was the one found the dead body of Nalepa hanging from a second storey balcony. Adam tries to save her by letting her down and cutting the cords before calling the police. When the rescue team arrives, they also tried everything to resuscitate her but after a while ago they declared her dead at the scene.
Police don’t have any suspects as of now but they were taking the Shacknais and Dina Romano as witnesses. After the autopsy for Nalepa’s body had been completed the police don’t still reveal the findings. Hence, the real reason of the death was not yet confirmed whether it is a suicide or a murder.
