Ateneo Beats La Salle in first match in UAAP Men’s Basketball

The two best rival teams in the UAAP Men’s Basketball had once again clashed in the court for the first time in this season.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles and the De La Salle Green Archers brought another exciting and thrilling game to the audience who came to watch their match and this time the Blue Eagles had proven their superiority against De La Salle by beating the Green Archers with a final score of 81-72.

The Blue Eagles was lead by rookie Kiefer Ravena who gained the most number of score for the team with a total of 24 and followed by Salva with 18 points.

In an interview with Ravena, he admitted that he did his best for this game to make up for their first game against Adamson Falcons where he wasn’t able to score.

The first half ended with a score of 41-30 leading the Blue Eagles but the Green archers made a strong comeback in the second half.

Revilla and Dela Paz from De La Salle managed to earn points for the team to lower down the advantage of the Blue Eagles.

However, Ateneo did not gave a way for La Salle to catch up by the three points shot coming form Salva and some free throw shots from Monfort in the last period.

Coach Norman Black is very happy with the performance of his team especially to Ravena who went all out in this game and led the team for a win but he cleared out that in every game their will be some changes and switching that will be happening in their line up depending on the opponent.

The ADMU is currently in the number 1 spot with standing of 2-0 while DLSU is in the bottom with no wins and 2 losses for this season.
