Actor and action star Robin Padilla awarded as one of the “Men Who Matter” by the Stargate Media Corporation base on their latest published People Asia Magazine.
In one of his interview, Robin said that this recognition is an unexpected one and he is very happy for such honor.
The list of the awardees was selected base on their dedication in their own field of work and for overcoming many struggles in life.
Together with Robin Padilla who was awarded are Rock Legend Pepe Smith, World renowned Singer Jed Madela, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa and some of the famous businessman in the country today.
On the other hand, Padilla thanked all the viewers of his primetime show in ABS-CBN “Guns and Roses” starring the actor with his leading lady Ms. Bea Alonzo which is gaining a high rating base on the latest survey.
Meanwhile, Robin Padilla denied the issue that Mariel is getting jealous every time that he has a daring scene with Bea on their primetime show.
The action star also revealed in the media that he will be shooting a movie which will be an entry for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF.
The said film is entitled “Peter Wong” wherein Robin will play a role of an extraordinary man with a unique powers that turned to a superhero. According to robin the film is a product of his wife’s imagination Mariel Rodriguez.
Robin told the media that he wanted Angelica Panganiban to play the role of his leading lady in the upcoming film.
It is expected that Robin will be competing with other movie entries in the 2011 MMFF staring the big stars like Vic Soto, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Judy Ann Santos. However, Padilla said that he is not taking this as a competition but rather part of his job as an actor.
