Ryan Dunn, one of the most popular cast of MTV’s Jackass TV series had died in a car accident with his companion after the Porsche car he was driving had jumped the guardrail, plunged into a wooded area and engulfed in flames.
Bam Margera’s mom April was the first one to confirmed about the death of Ryan Dunn in an interview with NBC Philadelphia. She learned the accident after getting a call from WMMR’s Preston and Steve radio show.
April Margera was quoted as saying “He’s just the sweetest guy you’d ever want to know and he would do anything for you” she said about Ryan Dunn whom she considered also as her second son. Bam Margera was Ryan Dunn’s long time friend.
Ryan Dunn had became famous for his dangerous antics and practical jokes in MTV’s Jackass show. Together with Bam Margera they formed the CKY crew during their Jackass days. He had also starred in G4’s “Proving Ground.”
Social networking sites and microblogging site Twitter was flooded with messages of condolences to the families of Ryan Dunn for his untimely death. His friend and long-time co-star Johnny Knoxville “Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy.”
Before the accident that caused the life of Ryan Dunn he posted a picture drinking with two companions in his tumbler account. There were speculations that he was drunk while driving but final investigations were on-going and it cannot be confirmed whether it was the main reasons why the accident happened.
Zachary Hartwell was the unidentified man who had been with Ryan Dunn during the accident. The 30-year-old production assistant had worked on Ryan Dunn’s “Jackass Number Two” movies. He was also pronounced dead. Ryan was identified with his facial hair and the tattoos on his body.
