First, it was postponed but now Adele, the popular British songwriter and performer had come to a very tough decision and that was to cancel her remaining shows due to laryngitis.
Those shows were part of her North American concert tour.
Adele is one of the most admired and bankable recording artists not just in the United Kingdom but in the United States as well. In fact, her current hit entitled “Rolling in the Deep” reigns number one in Bill boards Hot 100 chart and her latest album “21” is considered to be the best selling album for this year as of now.
With regards to her cancellation of her shows, Adele felt “frustrated” especially that all her shows are sold out, however, she could not afford to dispute the doctor’s advice for her which is to have a rest.
Supposedly, at her previous check-up, she chose to postpone the shows before the findings came out. June 4 was the supposed date of her comeback for her concert but due to medical advice, she had to cancel all her other shows and she’s hoping that after a week of rest she can sing again.
Just recently, Adele was dethroned by Lady Gaga in the music chart in U.K and at the same time, Lady Gaga had set a new record to have a very high sales of an album released only in a week.
Laryngitis is the result of inflammation in the larynx that usually affects the vocal chords of the singers.
The 23 year old singer is looking forward for rescheduling her shows in some other times and they are planning for it at the soonest possible time.
But for now, her doctor’s recommend that she had to take rest for weeks so that she can recover her best voice.
