Octomom‘s fertility doctor from California named Dr Michael Kamrava was reported that his medical license will be revoked by the Medical Board of California. The rule was announced on Wednesday stating that Dr Kamrava “did not exercise sound judgment” when he tried to implant 12 embryos to Nadya Suleman.
Suleman is a 33-year-old American mother who grabbed the world’s attention being an “Octomom” because she was able to give birth to a total of eight children.
The Octomom delivered the Suleman octuplets in January of 2009. It was reported that the eight babies were recognized in the US as the second complete octuplets set that were born alive.
The Suleman octuplets were identified to be the result of the 12 embryos transferred to Natalie Denise Suleman, the Octomom’s real name. It was in 2008 that Kamrava happened to implant such huge number of embryos to Suleman.
The announcement is way too bad for the Canadian fertility doctor. Report says that Kamrava’s revoked medical license will become effective on July 1 of this year.
Furthermore, the Medical Board of California also discovered about the negligence of Kamrava after handling a woman who was 48 years old that once suffered several complications on carrying a quadruplets.
Another instance took place when an ovarian cancer developed in a 42-year-old female after having been into several fertility treatments in the custody of Dr Kamrava.
On the previous month, Kamrava’s lawyer came to defend him by stating that he had been a good doctor as nobody had died in those cases. Moreover, the lawyer told the court about his personal belief that the fertility doctor had truly learned his lessons back then.
At present, Nadya Suleman famously known as the Octomom has 14 children all in all.
