Grand Champion of the recently concluded Showtime Grand Finals held at Ynares Center, Rizal was awarded to “True Colors” from the home of Champions, General Santos City, Philippines. The group had vested 11 other candidates from “Showtime All-Star Barangayan” grand finals on Saturday.
Death defying stunts and dance moves impressed not only the audience but most of all the judges in which one of them had predicted earlier that they will be winning the grand finals. The controversial Vice Ganda had predicted their win even before the grand finals started.
With a total points of 9.91, the dancers from General Santos will bring home a staggering 2 million pesos in cash divided for 1 million for the group and 1 million for the participating barangay. The group had followed the impressive performance of season 1 winner XB GenSan who had earlier won the Showtime Grand Finals Champion.
On the other awards, Barangay Poblacion Guihulngan won the Best Intro award, bagging P100,000 cash prize. They have been in constant support for the group Negros Dance Collective.
With the win, there will be a double celebration in the City of General Santos who were also celebrating the victory of their hometown hero, world’s greatest pound-for-pound boxer Manny Pacquiao.

The success of the show will put them on more preparations and surprised for the upcoming season of the Philippine’s most watched talent show. The show that put “madlang people” and “madlang judges” as two of the most commonly used expressions in the Philippines today geared for another surprised as people were eagerly waiting for the next edition.
