Microsoft, $7 to $ 8 Billion for Skype

the awaited tie-up

Skype and Microsoft may end up the deal with the price, as WSJ first reported the rumor, Microsoft is getting in financial negotiations in buying Skype for $ 7 Billion and it is speculated that the final price will up to $ 8 Billion.

Microsoft is another Tech giants who is also sniffing to buy Skype aside from the reported Google and Facebook who had already showed interests and currently having separate talks.

Reports says that most likely, Microsoft will overpay Skype, which is a better fit for Google and Facebook. And it only shows how desperate is Microsoft for Skype, and beyond Bing, it will be their another legitimate Internet Business.

Microsoft with Skype doesn’t exactly sound for voice communications. However, it will be more of collaboration to be productive. Skype is not really a natural fit for windows but the good things is Windows has Windows Phone, their mobile operating system, and it is where the interesting side took place. If Windows will have Skype, they could baked the later to Windows phone and it’s an interesting feature. Skype on iPhone and Android is pretty good.

As tech analyst observed, logic exists in the proposed deal. But for Microsoft to pay Skype $7 Billion to $ 8 Billion is a stretch, for the company had to know more on how to convert its 663 million users to a profit machine. Plus, most had observed that Microsoft is not pretty good in making money in the internet.

Now, it seems that Skype also is eyeing either Google or Facebook to buy them. Previous reports said that Facebook is most likely to end with the deal. Same with Google who find Skype as an additional boost in its company service. But could it be possible for the two giants to close the deal in a lesser price?
