Sohaib Athar whose a.k.a @really vitual was the one who started the news regarding the raid that happened last Monday killing the world’s most wanted terrorist without knowing personally that he was reporting one of the most important event of the day.

Sohaib Athar, the twitter user was a 33-year-old Information Technology Consultant from Lahore, Pakistan. He had an 18 years of programming experience and 7 years in parenting. The cafe owner from Abbottabad had live tweeted the operation involving the captured and death of Osama Bin Laden.

His first tweet was “Helicopter hovering around above Abbottabad at 1 am (is a rare event). After 11 minute he again tweeted,  “A huge window shaking bang here in Abbottabad Cantonment. I hope it’s not the start of something nasty :-S’. At 10.11 am, he tweeted again: “Uh oh, now I’m the guy who live-blogged the Osama raid without knowing it.”

The story that started it all on twitter became the huge news for the day. Sohaib Athar became an instant celebrity after his report that was confirmed by top US military officials and finally the President of the United States announced the death of Osama Bin Laden.
