X-Men series next film ‘Deadpool’ has found its director. The person who has done splendid visual effect work for X-Men films, Tim Miller, is now decided by 20th Century Fox to direct the forthcoming installment of the series. It will be Miller’s first film as a director.
As the film’s title Deadpool (or possibly X-Men Origins: Deadpool) says, the film will be based on character ‘Deadpool’ that was first introduced in 2009 X-Men film ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. Ryan Reynolds has played the role of Deadpool in Wolverine. It means Reynolds will reprise his role as a lead character in the next film.
Deadpool, who is also known as Wade Wilson, is a smart looking hunkish guy who was seen as a mercenary in the film. He receives the Wolverine’s quick healing power after some military experiments. Besides giving him X-Men’s mutant power, experiment severely damages his brain and gives him multiple personality disorder and also a nickname; ‘The Merc with a Mouth’.
Tim Miller is a visual effect artist who has given high end VFX works to many mega-budgets projects like Daredevil, X-Men, and Night at the Museum and most recently Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He owns a studio ‘Blur Studio’ that has directed many video games trailers. The studio is currently working on Ron Howard’s The Dark Tower.
The latest installment of X-Men series ‘X-Men: First Cl(–foul word(s) removed–)’ is releasing this summer on June 3. First Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) is directed by Matthew Vaughn and it is a prequel to other X-Men films.
