A press conference was held yesterday at Palmas del Mar Conference Resort Hotel in Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City. That was to officialy present the fight between the reigning World Boxing Organization Minimum weight title holder Donnie “Ahas” Nietes with professional record of (27-1-3, 15KOs) and the Mexican fighter Armando Vasquez(18-5, 4 KOs).
There were also foreign boxers who get together in the said event naming Deo Njiku of Africa, James Mokoginta of Indonesia and Ngaotawang Sithsaithong of Thailand who were glad to be there.
This most awaited Junior Flyweight division of Pinoy Pride 5: Battle of Champions will be held at University of Saint La Salle-Bacolod and is scheduled on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
The coach of Mexican boxer Armando Vazquez who’s Julio Yañez will be with him on this fight.
The battle of the boxers entitled Pinoy Pride 5 is brought by Ala Promotions and the ABS-CBN sports with support from the local government of Bacolod City and Provincial government of Negros Occidental.
