Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliff made his musical debut and performed on Broadway Musical in New York. The 21-year-old star took stage on Sunday night, March 27 on the opening night of at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Daniel is starred in a revival of 1961’s Tony-award winning Broadway musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” to perform the lead role.

Radcliffe plays the role of J Pierrepont Finch, a window washer who becomes a corporate leader by following the rules of a guidebook named How to Succeed in business without Really Trying. The musical is based on Shepherd Mead’s 1952 bestselling book of the same name. He joined the stage with leading lady Rose Hemingway.

It was the first time when Daniel danced on the stage, but he has performed on the Broadway stage before. In 2008 he performed in a British play “Equus” in which he played the role of a horse obsessed boy Alan Strang. Also, he also performed in “The Play What I Wrote” as a guest.

Daniel, who will perform in the musical eight times a week, told to MTV News that he is happy as the show is finally opened after a long time of preview period. For him, performing every evening for 2-and-a-half-hour is like a holiday after those tiring rehearsals in which he was busy from past two-three months.

Daniel Radcliff’s latest and last film of Harry Potter series ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ will hit theaters this summer on 15 July (in USA).
