Amy Adams confirmed for ‘Superman: Man of Steel’

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures added one more cast for their forthcoming ‘Superman’ reboot. This time “The Fighter” actress Amy Adams is announced to play the lead actress role in the film. She will play “Lois Lane” and join the previously announced cast with Henry Cavill, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

Zack Snyder who is directing ‘Superman: Man of Steel’ said in a statement, “Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about.” Zack told that they are so excited announcing their lead actress for the film. According to him Amy is one of the most versatile and respected actress in film world and he believes that Amy has all the talent to represent the character of Lois Lane who is Smart, funny, tough, warm, ambitious and beautiful.

Snyder also told in Los Angeles Times: “There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.” He confirmed the news to Amy on a phone call while he was in Paris promoting his latest film ‘Sucker Punch’.
