The heartbreaking draw against Myanmar on there last outing have put more confidence to the Azkals to proved to the Filipino people and to their Asian neighbors that we Filipinos are a force to reckoned with in football. With the entry of another Fil-foriegn player Jerry Lucena, a Fil-Danish midfielder who will be going to set up with Simon Greatwich, and provide more firepower in the midfield.

Jerry Lucena, was expected to fill-up the vacant post previously manned by Jason de Jong. He is a 30 year old Fil-Danish midfielder who played for Danish First Division Club AGF Aarhaus. The Philippine Azkals have already proven that they can play as a team with the addition of Forward Angel Guirado from Spain that provide more room for the winger Caligdong and Younghusband.

The Philippine Azkals will battle Palestine today at around 5 P.M. Manila time, the Azkals needs to score a win against the more experienced Palestinian team that came from a 2 goals win against Bangladesh. The Palestinian team have height advantage compared to the Filipinos but in terms of speed the Filipinos can provide more firepower.

One of the player of the Palestinian team was Murad Eleyan, he had scored the two goals of Palestine against Bangladesh in the 46th and 65th minute of the game allowing the Palestinian to score a solo lead in Bracket A of the AFC Challenge Cup Group Stage Match.

With the absence of a live broadcast from Myanmar, Filipinos around the world are now depending on social networking sites to cope up with the latest developments. Twitter and Facebook were commonly used by the Filipinos in disseminating the latest information while bloggers from around the globe were closely monitoring to provide feeds with the latest game of Azkals.

The problem with news media was the strict implementation of the Myanmar government regarding the entries of our media personnel to the country and the prohibition of using mobile phones, laptops and other gadgets even cameras without their permission. The problem of electricity and slower internet connection was also a factor.
