The possibility of nuclear rain is far from happening in the Philippines. This was the latest development in contrast to the circulated text messages that the Philippines will experience a nuclear rain.

Department of Science and Technology Secretary Montejo have confirmed the report that the circulated text message was a hoax. He was quoted as saying “masyadong maliit ang leak sa fukushima plant para makaapekto sa atin. Huwag maniwala sa text message.” The DOST secretary believed that the leak in fukushima was small and it will not affects us. He further adds that we must not believe on those text message.

ABS-CBN anchor and climate expert Kuya Kim have also posted on his twitter account about the probability of a nuclear rain happening in the Philippines. In his twitter account he posted and quoted as saying “Do not believe text messages on radioactive rain coming to the Philippines from Japan. This is a hoax”

Another text message from Manila regarding the BBC News regarding a radiation leak from Japan and confirmed by Japanese government was another prank text and a hoax.
