Another breakthrough in the world of entertainment is being made by two of the most popular companies, the Facebook and Warner Bros studio.

The first major Hollywood studio, Warner Bros has announced that they will stream some of its movies on Facebook. This collaboration of the two companies is said to give a new way of entertainment to the people.

Facebook users in America is said to be the first to use the service. Executives said that if it will be successful, they will later on roll this out to the other countries around the world including the United Kingdom.

People who will avail this service will be charged of 30 Facebook credits, which is equivalent to $3 (1.85 pounds) in renting a film. Users are given 48 hours to watch it.

The first movie to be stream is the 2008 blockbuster Batman: “The Dark Knight”. Other films will follow in the next few months.

Warner Bros Studio said that they have chosen Facebook as their partner because it has been a daily destination for hundreds and millions of people. In that way many people will avail their new service. They have also added that their idea of making their films available in Facebook is one of their efforts to extend the digital distribution.

“It gives consumers a simple, convenient way to access and enjoy our films through the largest social network” a Warner Bros statement said.

According to Warne Bros, the service ha they offer though Facebook has secured an instant access to more than 500 million people around the world. This will also provide the solution to lessen the online piracy, which made the record label industry suffer dramatic drops in revenue.
