One of the most popular singers known as Lady Gaga makes threats against The Icecreamist, a Central London ice cream parlor. The pop star threatens to sue the said ice cream parlor for using part of her name in selling their human breast milk-derived frozen treat.
The founder of the Icecreamist named Matt O’Connor claims that he has received a notification from Lady Gaga’s lawyer to let him know that the singer is planning to sue him for using the name.
“She’s threatening to bankrupt our business and she’s also said that she’ll get hold of my personal (–foul word(s) removed–)ets as well as my property, “O’Conner added.
O’Connor gain some publicity since he started this special ice cream called “Baby Gaga”, that was about two weeks ago but now is facing lawsuit from the singer.
The singer’s lawyer are condemning Icecreamist owner for promoting his ice cream by involving Lady Gaga’s name with it, he states that the references the ice cream parlor making to Lady Gaga is clearly deliberate and is intentionally taking advantage over the singer’s reputation and deeds. Thus, (–foul word(s) removed–)ociating the mark of Lady Gaga with a certain food product which is may be dangerous for human consumption is definitely harmful.
On the contrary, O’Connor said that it is nothing to do with anyone, according to him it was just the first noise a baby usually makes. He added that he was working regarding to his response to the letter.
“Baby Gaga” ice cream was been confiscated by the London’s Westminster Council on health concerns, but however gave it the all-clear this week.
In a recent interview with Britain’s Evening Standard, O’Connor argued that threats done by Lady Gaga were unfair and they are prepared to fight this matter in court. He quoted as “The battle between David and Goliath. “I’m convinced we will eventually win”, he added. It seems that the world’s biggest superstar is undertaking the strength of the world’s smallest ice cream parlor. He also said that the singer may have forgotten that the word gaga has been one of the best noticeable phrases to come from a baby’s mouth, that’s the reason why they chose the name.
“We have applied to register the trademark Baby Gaga and are confident we’ll secure this”, O’Connor said.
