Four people died and 32 others were injured when two buses collide Thursday in Matnog, Sorsogon.
The casualties includes an eight-month old baby named as Richie Libuon, a p(–foul word(s) removed–)enger from the Eaglestar bus. Meanwhile, three others were not yet named since they got no identification materials. They were proclaimed dead on arrival at the Matnog Medicare Hospital.
The said accident took place at around 12:30 in the early morning. Buses which collide were Eaglestar Bus and Philtranco Bus.
While the 32 p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers who were injured were brought to Sorsogon Provinvial Hospital for further medication.
Investigation shows that Manila-bound Eaglestar bus tried to overtake another vehicle, unfortunately, by doing so, the bus hit the Samar-bound PT Bus on the other side of the lane at Maharlika Highway. The driver of the Eaglestar had lost control so he hit the PT Bus wherein at the very moment was unloading his p(–foul word(s) removed–)enger.
This makes the driver of Eaglestar Bus totally lost its control and eventually hit a Philtranco Bus which was driven by Mercondes Mancilla and, with plate number PYK 873, that was unloading p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers at that time.
Authorities were still investigating deeper on the real stories on the said collision in Sorsogon.
