Last January 31 another momentous event happened which made the whole Filipino citizen proud when our very own Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) made world history by setting a new Guinness World Record.
Using water pipes Maynilad officials came out to an idea to play out a rhythm of beats in blending which earned them the record of “Largest Pipe Drum Ensemble”. The event was held in SMX Convention Center where 2000 guests came to witness it. Present in the event is London’s based Guinness World Record adjudicator Kimberly Dennis.
The historical event happened during Maynilad’s 2011 Customer Service Rally approved by the company’s board of directors headed by their chairman Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan and board member Mr. George A. Consunji. Maynilad top leaders were also present in the said event led by Mr. Ricky P. Vargas, president and Mr. Herbert M. Consunji chief operating officer.
In Mr. Vargas speech, he congratulated and encouraged everyone to continue to move together as one team as they bring safe, reliable, and affordable water to Filipino families. He also added that they can only achieve that goal if they have correct mindset and continue to put their customer first.
Head of business operations Mr. Chris Lichauco has congratulated his co-official in maynilad waters services Inc. and said that what maynilad has achieved set as a sample of how everyone’s participation, hard work and dedication are key in achieving common goal.
“The last three years has been all about breaking records for maynilad. This year is the ambitious yet” Mr. Lichauco added. He also laid out the company’s various plans to further improve its services, such as infrastructure, service area expansion, and customer service, among others.
The event was hosted by male celebrity Ryan Agoncillo. Among their special guest is the famous motivator Bo Sanchez which inspired the maynilad employees through his moving words.
