The Guinness Book of Records gave recognition to an 11-year-old girl from Bangkok, Thailand for being the hairiest girl of the world.

She is Supatra Sasuphan whose nickname is Nat. However, because her hair grows thick around her body, most people often called her as “wolf girl” and ‘monkey face”.

Such reputation didn’t hinder this school girl to live normally in her local community. She is able to find friends with other children as well. As a matter of fact, she gladly embraces more fame when she was given a title from the Guinness World Records.

It is seemingly unusual for someone to be visibly seen with thicker hair growing on body areas like the one face, ears, arms legs and back as what have been observed from Supatra. She finds it difficult to see things whenever hair gets longer.

Further analysis had brought her to be one in the list of 50 documented cases that were found to have Ambras Syndrome since in the middle ages.

Meanwhile, before having deep understanding about Ambras Syndrome, individuals who suffer such symptoms had often acquire the reputation of being called as ‘werewolves”.

Science had actually explained that such condition is caused by faulty chromosomes.

“I’m very happy to be in the Guinness World Records,” were the exact words that came out from her mouth.

People’s judgments are usually unavoidable. Indeed, others have often teased her like calling this girl monkey face. But, she explains that they don’t do it anymore.

There was even a time when she made it to a point where she had the idea of trying to remove those unwanted hairs with a laser treatment. But it was unsuccessful for the hair still keeps on growing in return.

Although Supatra is already used of her condition, she still hopes of the time when she will get to be cured.

She stands to be emotionally strong as she learns the value of endurance behind the tease of other people which often includes those who must have been old enough to understand.

Without having the idea of what Ambras Syndrome is all about, victims like Supatra were unlikely to be called as werewolves.

However, when a deeper knowledge is set, people would be able to understand what it is like to be in her shoes.

Since laser therapy cannot cure her condition at this moment, her mother would just frequently cut her hair.

Despite her situation, Supatra still enjoys life as she loves to swim, dance and play with her friends and family like any other children at her age.

For now, Supatra Sasuphan enjoys the honor of having been called as the World’s Hairiest Girl.
