Capturing 68% of Ugandans votes, the declaration for President Museveni’s victory during their elections was positive.

Announcement held Sunday as an international observer said that there were bribes and several failures.

The decision was final but Kizza Besigye and the other leaders had accusations that there were distributions of money in huge amounts to polling agents and candidates.

A quoted statement from Besigye stated that an election under such an environment cannot reflect the will of the people, and clearly the institutions of state charged with the management of the elections with the management of the elections have failed their country.

Dismissing the claims, the government has said that the opposition only tries to undermine the election.

The European Union’s chief observer of the elections, Edward Sciculuna, unveiled the raised questions regarding the problems in the final results’ validity.

“Distributions of money and gifts by the candidates focusing on Museveni’s ruling party” was among the widely spreading issue according to Sciculuna based on the EU observers’ report.

Having been stabilized Uganda and contributed to help combat AIDS epidemic, Museveni was given credit for such. Although in central African country, many criticism had strike him with regards to what they say as the lack of political transition. Some rumors would say that his time was influenced by corruption.

A total of 14 million citizens voted in participation with the Uganda election on February 8. Results depicts that majority of the Ugandans has chosen Museveni to rule their country for another five years.

Since the parliament had removed limits on the presidential terms, it is safe that the re-elected president will have to continue his authority in the said office.

The election results have proven that victory is tight in the hands of Museveni where Besigye have failed to get a chance over getting into the position of being the President of Uganda.

For Margaret Woburn, Besigye’s spokeswoman for the Inter-Party Cooperation, the opposition had this expectation that a vote-rigging will happen this year. That is why, they will still be conducting there own tally of votes so as to answer the remaining questions of his current status.

As to the result, majority of the people of Uganda still believe that President Yoweri Museveni deserves to remain in his position.
