The popular star rock guitarist Robert William Gary Moore died Feb. 6, 2011 in a hotel room on holiday in Malaga Spain.

Adam Parsons the Thin Lyzzy manger told the reporter that he was found on Sunday early morning.

Gary Moore as Robert William born April 4, 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He  was recognized as one of the most excellent guitarist originated in Ireland. In his successful career since 1960s he was played with group of bands including the legendary Irish band “Thin Lizzy”, Greg Lake, Closseum II, and Skid Row. He also gained his fame in his successful solo work.

The renowned guitarist from Northern Ireland was a 16-year old when he joins Skid Row featuring Lynott as lead vocalist. Later he became a lead guitarist member to Thin Lizzy to replacing the same Northern Ireland guitarist Eric Bell.

Even if he was returning to “Thin Lizzy” lately in 1970s his solo harvest the interest that brings him to UK chart and enjoyed success with Lynott in their “Out In The Fields” and “Parisienne Walkways”.

Later, his solo album “Grinding Stone” with his virtuoso performance brought him to the peak as a recognized artist in his own right.

His incomparable performance as a lead guitarist on 1974 established his fame with the Thin Lizzy in the album “Nightlife” that received a very significant approval for his work.

All throughout his career, Gary Moore was extended the range of his ability together with major artists embracing verities show including metal, hard rock and blues that releases 20 studio albums.

On Sunday at Costa del Sol while enjoying holiday, Eric Bell was shock at Gary Moore’s death. “It seems I still cannot believe it, he said.

“He was so vigorous, he didn’t even suffering health problem, he is not a rock casualty, he was very healthy guy” said Bell.

From Thin Lizzy Scott Gorham said “I was so happy to share a stage with Gary Moore, he was a wonderful musician and dedicated”

During the “Black Rose era” I enjoyed very much with a great guy Gary, he was a great player, I’m sure I will be missing him”, he said.

The editor of the Irish music magazine Niall Stokes described Gary Moore as a “genius”.
