Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia and the center of commerce in the Western Region was under constant rainfall that leads to recent floodings. For the past weeks this city have been flooded but yesterday January 26, 2011, the flooding caused more and more factories to stop their operation because of insurmountable waters.

Factories were closed and local officials are now doing their best to coordinate with different non-governmental organization for the immediate response to this kind of devastation.

Jeddah with a population of 3.4 million is an important commercial hub in the Kingdom of Saudi of Arabia. Most expatriates have chosen Jeddah as their home of choice for it is more open compared to Riyadh and Dammam.
